Here is where we like to geek out - we have data scientists that analyze millions of tracks and hundreds of streaming metrics to understand which tracks are most likely going to be picked-up by streaming algorithms and which tracks have unrealized potential (ie some juice left in 'em). Our theory is that millions of tracks do not get their full day in the sun simply because of the massive overload of content.

Right now we are focusing on catalog only but to us that can mean very young catalog. Our sweet spot is that no-man's-land 3 months post release all the way to 10 years.

We are definitely open to suggestions but a key component to our service is selecting the right tracks. A typical first step in our service will be sending you the tracks we think work best and having you select from there.

One of the most exciting results we strive for is the halo effect on the rest of the catalog and on the artists themselves. Our campaigns lead to actual discovery and new fans.

A key differentiator for ampd is that we combine the best of all worlds of marketing - we focus on listeners engaging and collecting your music (ie Saves) AND we strive for algorithmic streams to make sure you are reaching a wider audience (ie Spotify Mixes). This means that once the campaign is over you will typically see your step-change in streams and listeners continue. In fact, a lot of our clients specifically use us for the long-term value we bring (ie flattening the decay curve).

Yes! We actually love the symbiotic effect of having a new release/ gigs out there while we push the catalog at the same time. It is also a great way to ramp up fans ahead of a tour or a new release.

Our campaigns are typically 6 weeks. For many clients we optimize so well during this time (and achieve that elusive positive ROI!) that it doesn't make sense to switch off campaigns so we might prolong. But we are also very strict on when it is time to turn them off.

We will typically not go lower that $1K per track (we need to get over the learning phase!) although we can combine 3 tracks for $2K when it makes sense to pool them together. ampd's fee is either 20% of budget or additional recoupment if we are providing a marketing advance.

After the second week, we will send weekly reports for all campaigns with streaming and social metrics, and most importantly, those algo spikes we strive for.

We will typically offer advances for tracks/ groups of tracks that can recoup $1K worth of royalties in 6 months. ampd will need to be added as a split within your distributor, but good news is that we work with most of them!
